"I wish to speak with you," I uttered, causing him to pivot and meet my gaze. Martha, ever perceptive, knew to retreat, granting us a moment of seclusion. Once she vanished from sight, I turned my attention to Reuben. "Are you aware that your own flesh and blood harbors ill intentions towards you?"
