Justin took me by surprise.

I didn’t believe him when he told me Damon was going to name Lola his Luna at the grand party, but I had to come and see for myself. I’m not too surprised if that’s Damon's decision. After all, it’s not a hard choice between a loyal friend, and your attempted murderer.

The problem is, Damon can’t claim Lola without severing our mate bond first.

I don’t know whether he knows that, but I do. I have done my research on wolfless mate bonds ever since I understood what the word love means.

Maybe it’s for the best to sever it. But I have to be there, or he would make a fool of himself at his most important party when he fails to claim Lola.

Consider this my compensation for the dagger, Damon Hayes. Next life, don’t be my fated mate again.

I couldn’t convince Barke that I wasn’t going to ruin the party without telling him his Alpha’s secret. Justin took care of Barke for me.
