Sudden encounter

"Blood," Kavya exclaimed in shock..

"Where the hell is the switchboard? I'm not getting why this place is so dated."

He screamed in frustration, his hands searching for the switchboard on the wall.

"Wait, I'll open the windows."

She slid open the window, allowing the sun's rays to flood the room with light.

They were both taken aback by what they had just witnessed after the light had illuminated the previously dark room.

The floor was splattered with blood, and the furniture was drenched in it.

"What happened here?"

Her inquisitive question, full of concern for Harry's mother reflected in her voice.

"I believe a killing occurred here; otherwise, why would this place be so bloody?"

He muttered something.

"What the hell are you saying, I can't even hear yo..."

Before she could speak another word her mouth was closed by Ivaan's palm in the middle of her sentence.

"Be quiet, by killing and murder, I meant that they must have killed someone here and could be hiding here."

She calmed down and nodded like an obnoxious girl.

He slowly removed his palm from her mouth and returned his attention to the blood patches on the floor, which indicated that someone had been dragged from there after being killed.

"Come," he motioned for her to follow behind him.

She rushed over and took his hand in hers to make him feel secure.

The tension between them was intense, with a rapid breathing rate.

They followed the blood patches downstairs to one of the rooms which ended up near a wooden box.

"Ivaan, what could be in that box?"

She questioned him as she dug her nails into his palms, her voice trembling.

"First, stop hurting me with your sharp nails."

"Oh, I'm sorry... but I can't help."

She tightens her grip on his right arm.

He moved closer to the blood-soaked wooden coffin box and opened it.

"Oh hell!"

He quickly turned back and covered Kavya's eyes so she wouldn't see the dead body covered in blood in that box.

"Don't look, it's scary."

"But what did you see? Is there a dead body?"

She questioned him impatiently, a worried reflection in her voice.

"Yes."

Her heart sank deep within her chest and she felt as if something inside had suddenly broken.

"I want to see...Move."

She removed his hands from her eyes and walked forward with trembling steps to see.

"Ahhh," she exclaimed upon seeing the body, which was in a very bad state, indicating that the person had been tortured and then brutally murdered.

"I told you not to look, but you never listen to me."

He approached her and hugged her, hiding her face beneath his chest.

Kavya couldn't hold back her tears any longer, so she dropped the medicine packet and let her tears stream out.

"It's fine, let's go now."

He was about to take her, but she moved because she saw something stuck in the dead body's hands.

Getting all the courage she could muster, she controlled her tears, which were making her vision blurry. She took the object from the dead body's grasp.

It was a blood-splattered digital diary that was password-protected.

"What could be in this?"

She wiped the blood away with her skirt and attempted to open it, but the password was difficult to crack.

"Would you like me to try?"

She handed the diary over to Ivaan, who was able to crack the password in a matter of seconds, much to Kavya's surprise.

"How?"

"Because I just used logic, she is a mother, so her son could be her password. For example 13Harry23, means ``I love Harry, my son."

Ivaan responded proudly, as if he were some kind of brave fighter who had just won a medal for completing his first mission.

After hearing his response, she raised her brows but did not smile.

When she opened the dairy, the Windows operating system appeared, complete with pictures of Harry and her mother.

There were memories of Harry and his mother including his childhood videos that brought tears back to her eyes.

Then there was one file labelled "my secret letter to my son."

Kavya opened the file and a sweet voice spoke through it.

"My son, I love you."

"I know you hate me because I didn't stop you from joining the army, but I'm helpless too; after your father's death, if you had not joined the army, you would have been killed by them..."

The woman's voice trembled, indicating that she was holding her tears while recording this message.

"I never wanted to make you feel like my son, I have always kept you away from me only so you can hate me and stay away from me, but you know I have always missed you, I have spent my every night crying for you; just to see you once but I never know when you will get holiday from work."

"And I know I'll never be able to tell you this because I lack the courage to do so, which is why I'm recording it down in my diary. If they try to take you away from me again, I will fight them."

That woman's voice sobbed before the voice recording ended, making Ivaan and Kavya emotional while listening to her voice. Anyone can sense the pain and tension between her mother's feelings for her son.

"She must have fought for Harry in such bad shape just to keep him with her."

Kavya sobbed uncontrollably.

"It's fine."

He closed the diary, tucked it into his trouser pocket, and then covered it again.

He was about to inform the investigation department about the situation when a military plane's supersonic sound echoed outside the building.

"What's going on here?"

She wiped her face and moved her gaze from the window to where Ivaan was looking.

They noticed the ten military flying ships arranged in a line outside there.

The highest-ranking officials emerged from them, shouting at a group of people but their faces were obscured.

But then one of the officers started kicking a guy who was so young . That guy seemed to be refusing to carry out their orders.

Something suddenly popped into her head.
