Nathan's Pov

As Nathan paced back and forth in his room, his thoughts were consumed with his recent behavior towards Claire. He couldn't help but feel guilty for how he had treated her. She didn't deserve to be locked up in that dark room, alone and hungry. But at the same time, he couldn't let his pack see him as weak. He had to maintain his dominance and show that he was in control.

Nathan's wolf continued to taunt him, reminding him of how he had failed his mate. The beast inside of him demanded that he make things right with Claire, but Nathan was stubborn. He couldn't admit his mistakes, not even to himself. He was too consumed with his own pride and ego.

But as the day went on, Nathan began to feel the weight of his actions. He knew that he had been too hard on Claire, and that he had been unfair. He didn't want to be the kind of mate that his wolf was accusing him of being, cold and unfeeling. He wanted to be the kind of mate that his Luna deserved, the kind that would love and
