Chapter 47. Another Meeting With The Wolf.

The moon hung high in the night sky, casting a pale glow through the curtains of my tiny crib. Just like always, Sleep eluded me, and I tossed and turned in my bed, my mind consumed by a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. The weight of my plan to eliminate the Alpha King and avenge my sister's death pressed heavily upon me, like a huge log of wood had been placed on my chest.

But it wasn't just the plan that kept me awake. My usually quiet wolf companion, who had been a constant presence in my mind, was restless tonight. I could feel its unease, its claws scratching at the edges of my consciousness, demanding attention. It was as if my wolf knew something I didn't, something important that it couldn't put into words.

Tired of the endless cycle of tossing and turning, I finally gave in to the restlessness and slipped out of bed. The cold ground sent a shiver up my spine as I made my way to the hallway, drawn to the night air and the soothing embrace of the moonlight.
