The next day, both girls met up and went for shopping. Kira thoroughly enjoyed spending money on Brina – after all Kira had a little too much now! Brina was overwhelmed by Kira’s generosity but Kira just brushed her concerns aside. And then the girls had lunch in a nice five-star restaurant. The only problem was, Whitaker men were following them everywhere and were always within earshot. And while Kira and Brina talked about stupidest, most girlish things, they could not discuss anything serious in the presence of an audience.

“Why don’t we ditch them?” Brina murmured.

“I can’t, they are for my protection, and while I am here, I really need to stay safe… else Dimitri would wage war on Whitakers,” Kira chuckled, and Brina’s expression said that she did not know if Kira was joking or was serious. “Will tell you everything later maybe!” she added with an eye roll.
