Chapter Fifty-One

The figures within the room were barely visible in the dim light that cast a faint glow.

In the corner, a man stood with a firm grip on his gun, his eyes fixed on a huddled woman who trembled with fear.

Beads of sweat trickled down both their faces and necks, uniting them in their tension

The atmosphere in the room was suffocating with tension as the man's chest heaved, and he struggled to catch his breath with short, sharp gasps.

"Please," he whispered, his voice quivering. "Don't make me do this."

Despite his desperate plea, a figure emerged from the shadows, looming over the man with a menacing presence.

Leaning in close to his ear, the figure spoke in a cold and icy voice, "Pull the trigger."

With his hand trembling and his heart racing, the man managed to resist the urge to pull the trigger, keeping his finger still as he gazed at the terrified woman before him.

"Please," he begged once more. "I can't do this."
