Caspian Jyn’s Pov

I slowly opened my eyes and I immediately felt a massive headache.

I am pretty sure that my immune system is at its best yet I don’t really understand how the hell I caught the flu.

“You are finally awake…”

Karyu helped me to get up and I leaned my back on my bed’s headboard. “W-what happened?” I massage my nape. My memories before I collapse are a bit hazy so I am not really sure what happened earlier.

“We don’t know, Boss,” Karyu answered. “All we know is that you sneaked out while we were preparing your meds and went to Asper then you collapsed. And because of what you did, she learned that you are sick and need to be taken care of.”

Shit!

I was trying to hide from her that I was sick because I was sure she would just get worried.

“And she is here.”

My eyes widened. “R-really?”

They nodded.

“From her expression earlier, I think she thought that it was her fault that you got distracted these past few weeks and got sick. And she wanted to make it up to you,” Schlain
