Dennis POV

After Cassandra and my brother had come back home, everywhere became gloomy and tensed. Neither of them had agreed to speak to us most especially, Cassie. She had buried herself inside her room the moment she had arrived.

"Hey, um...I was wondering if it would be ok for Cas and her brother to move into our house. Now that the council knows about this situation, they won't be safe alone. Plus we don't know what mother can do," Derrick suggested breaking the silence between us.

"That's true but the only problem we have is her. Would she agree to come with us?," I added looking at Daniel who had been glaring at me ever since he came home.

To be honest, I had become overly curious of what they had discussed when they were alone. But for the looks of it, they weren't going to say a damn thing to me even if I asked.

"Well, she can come if we ask her besides she has no choice. If she wants to be safe then she has to do as we have said," Daniel said and Cass quietly app
