26. Light up a lantern
"Eren! It's here, stop!" I scream excitedly as I spot a crowd of people in the far end of the street, visible by an orangy glow.
To make himself forgiven for all that happened, Eren has agreed to take me to the latern festival tonight. I have always dream to light a lantern while making a wish and release it in the sky, let the wind take it, knowing that it will stop somewhere. Somewhere out of the blue. Like life, we live and travel with our wishes while being aware that we will die one day, but not knowing where and when.
After parking the bike, Eren and I join the clamour group of people. Some are distributing the lanters, some are filling them with air, some lighting their lanterns and some releasing them. My heart fills with happiness at the sight of these.
"Thank you for taking me here." I murmur happily, throwing my hands around Eren's neck and plant a soft kiss on his cheek.

I slowly open my eyes as I feel someone stroking my hair lightly. I’m blessed to see a pair of radiant sea-green eyes admiring my face. I smile. “Good morning life.” Eren says in a deep morning voice and plants a soft kiss on my forehead. Four years later “Eren Dan Aiyer!” I cry out for the tenth time at the bottom of the stairs. "We need to go!" Those eyes. It’s him. But when I look at the face, I snap back to reality. It’s not Eren. It’s an updated version of Eren. I am frozen, gaping at him, all stunned by the resemblance. I had no choice. I had to tell Azure everything. Angered, he even called Toni and Tamarra so that they all give me a lecture. I’m not a kid. They shouldn’t be deciding for me. The next day after work, Erden came to pick me since my car was at his place for repair. The next day after organising my work for next week, I end up watching some makeup tutorial videos on Youtube. It’s Saturday so no work. I want to do something amusing and then when watching those videos, a crazy idea hit me. I immediately go to the salon where Eren is playing with his cars on the floor. “Um Eren.” I say and he turns to look at me, his little turquoise eyes sparkling. “Would you like to meet Erena?” I ask sweetly with sheep eyes. And this is what I did. I turned Eren into Erena. I applied some makeup on his face and put a shoulder-length wig on his head. He looks so cute as a girl, but still he doesn’t look like me. I was searching for a little dress for him in my wardrobe when there is a sudden knock at the main door. I sigh. “Be right back Erena.” I chuckle before walking out of my room. “Okie mommy!” Eren says in a girly voice.

After lunch, I stayed in the kitchen to clean the table. Eren has convinced Erden to play with him. So they went somewhere in the rooms.
