Chapter 040: The Challenge

After the call with Chase, Dante had been so overwhelmed with delight that he could no longer continue with the office work. He immediately picked up his phone, his briefcase, and his car keys as he turned to march out of the office, heading back to his apartment with a brightened-up face and a radiant smile.

All through the duration of his drive back home, the smile on his face did not fade. He kept whistling, swinging his head from side to side heatedly, and thinking of how pleasant and freeing it would be to finally get to see Lyra again.

When he arrived at the parking lot of his apartment building, he turned off the ignition of the Bentley, climbed down steadily, and strode towards the entrance with exultant steps.
