Chapter Sixty-Nine

After a few moments of tense silence, Eric placed a hand on the wall by her head. “What the hell is going on, Cat? Are you with Alex or this new guy you arrived with?”

Cat didn’t want to make Eric jealous, but his accusation angered her, nonetheless. After all, he had been her first lover. What did he expect? That now she had experienced it, she couldn’t live without sex? The truth was, the only person she was struggling to be without was him. Being in such close proximity to him, with his scent enveloping her, was beginning to wear on her nerves.

“What’s it to you? You walked away from me, remember?” Cat said, incensed by his dog in the manor attitude. How dare he question her?

Eric wasn’t happy with her not answering his question. His face darkened. “Don’t push me Cat.” Putting his other hand flat on the wall on the other side of her head. Caging her in.
