Amelia's eyes snapped back to the present, her mind reeling from the memories of her past schemes. She stepped out of the car and onto the driveway, her heels clicking on the pavement.

As she entered the penthouse and headed to her apartment, chaos greeted her. Toys and furniture were scattered everywhere, and her small child, John, was wailing uncontrollably. The maids were trying to calm him down, but he was having none of it.

As soon as John saw Amelia, he rushed to her, tears streaming down his face. "Mommy!" he sobbed, clinging to her legs.

Amelia's expression softened, and she scooped up her child, cradling him in her arms. "Hey, baby, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" she cooed, trying to soothe him.

Just then, Jackson approached her, a mix of concern and anger on his face. "Amelia, where have you been? You've been gone since yesterday, and I've been worried sick. What's going on? Why haven’t you been picking you your calls?"
