Chapter 13

After days of being on the sickbed, Harry's surgery and treatment were successful, and Alice and Nathan felt relieved. They were sitting in the waitingroom when the doctor came in with a smile on his face. "I have some good news," he announced. "Harry's surgery and treatment were successful. He's going to be okay."

Alice and Nathan both let out a sigh of relief."Thank God," Alice whispered, wiping away tears from her eyes.

Nathan put his hand on Alice's shoulder. "I told you everything would be okay," he said, smiling at her.

The doctor continued, "Harry is in the recovery room right now, and he's doing fine. We'll keep him there for observation, but you can see him now if you'd like."

Alice and Nathan followed the doctor to the recovery room, and as soon as they saw Harry, their hearts filled with joy. He was hooked up to several machines and still looked weak, but seeing him awake and breathing on his own was a wonderful sight.
