The two men covered their eyes with their glasses, moving away from where they stood when they noticed Carver's presence had stopped.

"Very suspicious."

"What's fishy?" she asked.

"No, I'm just saying that this party is very lively."

"Twice you hid something from me." Violeth's eyes were sharp because Carver was hiding something from her.

"I'm not hiding anything from you," Carver evaded.

"Then why didn't you tell the truth on the street earlier? You just made excuses about your lost ID card, it doesn't seem the same as you thought. And now you're hiding something from me again." Violeth misunderstood again, but Carver of course couldn't tell the truth, that would add another misunderstanding.
