We finally pulled out of the hug, I looked at Dominick properly. He had blood stains on his shirt. I was so worried about him. It wasn't my first time seeing blood on him but it was my first time witnessing Dominick disappearing before my eyes.

"What happened to you?" I asked with so much curiosity taking over my tone.

"I'm fine, Lei. I had to take care of some bad guys" he explained but I didn't buy it. I was so angry but I had to hold it inside since he'd return.

"Did you miss me?" He asked, grabbing my waist while his other hand was placed on my cheek and he rubbed it gently. I frowned at him, how dare he ask me such a question when I was literally so mad— searching for him just now.

I pushed his hand from my waist and I tried moving away but Dominick grabbed me back. "I'm sorry, Lei" he apologized, and I could hear the sincerity in his tone. He really meant it.
