Aret's heart raced as Eron removed his hood, revealing his blonde hair with distinctive green streaks. "Hey, Arie," his deep yet soft voice called out to her, carrying a mixture of familiarity and curiosity.

A surge of emotion overwhelmed Aret as she gasped and instinctively covered her mouth. There were only two people in this world who called her "Arie." One was gone, lost to time, and the other...

Tears welled up in her eyes as she couldn't contain her emotions. She ran into Eron's open arms. "Eron, where have you been?"

"I missed you too, Arie," he replied, his voice filled with warmth. But before the moment could settle completely, Aret's emotions took over, and she slapped him across the face. Eron winced as he rubbed his cheek.

"I suppose I did deserve that," he admitted, a rueful smile on his face.

Aret's anger quickly shifted to concern. "But where have you been all this time? Asher, Asher and I, we..."
