“It's Lorraine.”

As it spread through the mind link, Aret and Venus ran towards Mayan-Odette's cottage, where sobs filled the surrounding.

“It's the dark slumber poisoning.” Mayan-Odette diagnosed as she crushed some herbs together, moving into another room.

Laurel rushed in minutes after Aret, staring at her little sister and mother, tears welled up in her eyes.

Laurel was the least emotional of the twins; whenever something had happened, she would be the one to keep a hard face while Lorraine would be wailing and crying.

She would always say, 'I stay strong because I know it will always be fine.'

Now she stood next to Aret and her eyes reddened with tears threatening to spill.

“W-what happened?” Aret asked, gnashing her teeth. She stared into Laurel's eyes, who immediately averted her gaze, then at Nova and Yolanda.

“We couldn't find her at first, then we found her in one of the designing rooms, out cold.” Yolanda spoke up, not looking directly into Aret's eye
