***Amber’s POV***

When a man was tied up and beaten in one of the room's corners, the luxurious furnishings looked ridiculous. His bloody face stood in stark contrast to the white and gold-themed furniture. It wasn't my first time to see how my boss beat the snot out of him, but he persisted.

If he only thought about himself and opened his mouth, he'd have a good chance of escaping alive. Every time my boss punched the man in the face, I could only look away. I wanted to assist him but couldn't get past the men assigned to protect him. My heart bled for Dale, who had been held hostage in the basement for two weeks already.

His face was covered in dried blood from Roger Middleton. His hands were tied upward as he was tortured. When Dale was apprehended, I was concerned, but Dale never talked about Bethany. He remained silent about Bethany despite two weeks of constant torture.
