THEY WERE TAKEN

“Start talking!” David barked at Cathrina and stood beside his father.

She began to tremble and soon tears were welling up in her eyes.

“Spare us the drama Cathrina. By now, we are already used to your fake emotions.” Leonard spat.

David smirked.

“Your lover sent assassins to my house. Scores of my men are injured while others lost their lives because of you Cathrina. You’ll get a court summon before nightfall. You’ll appear in court tomorrow and I swear to God, I’ll ensure you rot in jail.” Leonard said with his brows furrowing with rage.

“I’m sorry.” Cathrina sniffled. “I swear to God, it wasn’t my intention to hurt anyone. I know you won’t believe me and that’s why I followed you guys down here to talk because I might not get the chance to speak.”

“Did you or did you not invite Griffin to my house?”

“I didn’t. He wanted me back in his place in two days but I wanted to leave after the end-of-year party but then he got impatient and I swear to God, I didn’t know he was going to come
