David was going through some papers inside his room when he heard the door to the entrance of his chamber squeaking. He shut the file to pay keen attention. He could hear the door slowly opening.

David wasn’t fond of shutting his door. Unlike his father who had guards stationed at the entrance to his chamber, David would only lock his chamber from the inside when he wanted to fall asleep. He felt sick of people blocking his paths at home or the office.

He heard footsteps clicking toward his bedroom and David quickly stood up. He was confident that it was June because at dinner earlier, they had avoided each other and had barely spoken for l the last two days. On his part, David felt at peace with the silence which was quite unexpected.
