DAVID’s IDENTITY

In her bid to eavesdrop on the ongoing conversation between Cathrina and the strange man who had just pulled his Lexus opposite her car, Sylvia slowly rose to her feet with the Rolls-Royce shielding her.

From her spot, she could catch a clear glimpse of Catharina’s back but the man remained hidden from her.

Sylvia heaved a silent sigh and resolved to pay keen attention to their conversation.

“You wanted to return there?” Sylvia heard the man’s deep voice. She could depict that he was an elderly man.

Cathrina folded her arms across her chest. “Of course, I would have gone back to that mansion if you didn’t call me.”

Sylvia’s eyes widened and the realization that Cathrina had to turn around because she got the man’s call dawned on her. That explains why she didn’t drive into the mansion.

From her hidden spot, Sylvia glued her hands on the car, using it as a shield while her bag pack remained on the floor. She stood firm.
