TRAILING CATHRINA

Fred exhaled and moved to a corner adjacent to the door. Right now, he needed to get his eyes on June not have a pep talk with Eleanor but perhaps, a two minutes talk might suffice.

Eleanor joined him at the corner looking all nervous and Fred was surprised. A woman who had boldly stripped before a stranger should not be having sweat teamed up on her forehead because she wanted to speak. He watched her take deep breaths and then try to fix her gaze on him.

Eleanor cleared her throat loudly and began. “I want to apologize to you.”

Fred had to arch a brow to communicate how stunned he was.

She smiled weakly.

He sighed in relief. Well, thank goodness she was back to her senses. She must have realized that they won’t work.

“I don’t want you to see me that way….

“I don’t see you in any way.” Fred sharply replied. What was she thinking? Did she think he was going to judge her by one act of mischief?
