Chapter Seventy-Two

After a delightful session with Nox in a candlelit room and a bed covered with rose petals, I woke up cocooned in his embrace. Glancing down, I relished the feeling of his thick veiny arms wrapped around me in a secure hold.

His broad chest moved behind me softly as the soft gush of his breath fanned the back of my neck. I struggled to turn around and Nox loosened his hold by a fraction so I could have enough room to wiggle around.

Turning to face him, I found his hair mussed around the top of his head, almost reaching his eyes. Just like his embrace, his scent gave me a sense of safety.

Very soon, when all of this is over, he will mark me and then our scents will become one and our bond will be stronger than ever. He will truly be mine and I will truly be his.
