Chapter 20_Unknown Anger

Ava rushed downstairs at the speed of lightning.

She felt energetic and full of life, she met Mrs. Donovan where she had left her and she smiled cutely at her.

making her way to the basement of the building through the wide hall that leads outside.

she suddenly stops in her tracks,

"I thought I heard someone groan just now," she said to herself.

she took another step, the loud groan was coming from the basement.

"Is it Drexel? is he in so much pain?" she fastened her step as the excitement in her evaporated with each step she takes as she get closer.

she stood right at the doorpost, she pressed her ear on the door to listen to the sound coming out from the basement.

she did not know that the door was not properly shut and she had put all her weight on the door.

Ava would have tripped and fall, but her hand held on to the doorknob as it flung up with force.

she look up and her eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

she stood there, dazed and shocked at the sight before her.
