Chapter 33_Back at the orphanage home

Ava with the last bits of energy she could gather from every nook of her joints, got on her feet and staggered almost blindly away from the men who were now dropping on the floor; one after the other like chickens, and away from that nightmarish street.

The moon was now out to play. Glazing her path as she walked like a zombie through Norwillow Street- the one which First Time Orphanage is supposed to be on.

Here it is quiet and almost peaceful except for the occasional spine-shiver-sending hoots of owls from nearby trees.

She throttled along the street, hoping to reach the Orphanage home before the first light of dawn hits.

Her head ached in a deadly manner, her breath grew shallow, and Even her vision threatened to fail her. But she shook her head repeatedly to keep her consciousness stable enough to lift both legs even though she looked like a battered zombie.

"The phone" Ava suddenly remembered and came to a stop.
