Chapter Sixteen

In Omaha, everything had been going just the way King Rico wanted and he was pleased until he began to notice some traits of aggressiveness from the army of werewolves he had just formed.

They started by grumbling and being reluctant to obey when Rogers gives an order and with time, they proved to be more stubborn. But King Rico thought it was still something minor and everything would be in control soon.

The sun hung high in the sky one morning as Rogers stepped onto the training ground, his senses heightened and his muscles primed for another intense session. The werewolves, their eyes gleaming with a mix of anticipation and defiance, circled him, their growls reverberating through the air.

Among the pack, two particularly aggressive werewolves, Kellan and Bryn, had been growing increasingly discontented with Rogers' authority. Fuelled by their desire for dominance, they saw an opportunity to challenge him and undermine his position as their trainer.
