CHAPTER 27

I walk into class looking all jittery and my gaze moves to Josh who stares back at me with a worried and confused expression on his face.

I flash him a forced smile, trying my best to make it look genuine but i know very well that he doesn’t buy it.

I settle down on my seat trying my utmost best to listen to what the teacher is saying but i’m unable to do so as all Ross had told me keeps repeating in my head.

“Mia can you tell me the answer?” I hear the teacher ask.

Of all the students in this class, i just happen to be the one the question is thrown to.

“Umm..” I look at the board trying to see if the question or anything relating to the question is written there?

“Were you even listening?” I sigh.

“I’m sorry ma’am.” I apologise and she throws the question to someone else.

My gaze moves to Josh and he flashes me an ‘are you okay?’ look. I try myself to smile wholeheartedly so he won’t get suspicious but i fail woefully.
