The sun rays flickered through the curtains and fell on her face. Eden stirred in her sleep and turned to the other side as she tried to fall asleep again. But the throbbing headache didn't let her. Still, she tried to keep her eyes shut, praying the headache to go down soon. But just after a few minutes when she felt the warmth of the unfamiliar comfy comforter as well as the bed, she snapped open her eyes only to find herself in an unfamiliar place. She sat up immediately as her eyes traveled all over the place on their own. The bed as well as the room was empty except for her. Her throbbing headache was long forgotten as she looked all around the gigantic room once again. She tried to remember how she ended up here as she came out of the comforter and got down from the bed immediately. Last night she was at the club with Cassandra and Brenda and then she picked a random stranger. She danced with him and then... Her eyes immediately trailed down at herself. Her very own dress fro
...Eden's POV...In the morning when the driver drove me to my destination, I swore to myself not to drink again and sent a yearnest prayer to heaven not to face the man ever again with whom I spent last night doing what I didn't even want to recall. But here he was again in front of me at the doorway of Demon's cabin standing beside Nathaniel. The way we two were barking at each other, there was no way he didn't hear it. But more than that what surprised me was his smile. He was smiling at me so warmly but it only made me feel embarrassed. I looked everywhere but him. I was thinking of a way to escape from there anyhow. Strangely, Damien made it easy for me."Leave." He said coldly. I turned to him to know who was he referring to only to find his hard glare at the young man beside Nathaniel. Just after a few moments, Damien turned to me, "I asked you to leave. Get back to your cabin.""Okay, Sir." I responded and took my leave as soon as possible keeping my head down.I got into my ca
Damien's POV When I saw Eden getting close to the only person I hated the most on the earth, I stood glued to my place for a few moments. Tristan Hoult. The heir of Hoult Enterprise as well as a billionaire playboy. I thought of Eden to be of a different type when she stood her ground in front of me, not falling for me, for my looks or my status. The girl beside me who was trying to call dibs on me from the moment I entered here, was still saying something seductively but my gaze stayed rooted on the dance floor as they walked there. I handled it till I couldn’t anymore. Nate and Julian were waiting for me in the VIP lounge. I knew I should just reach them and spend the night likewise, drinking one of my favorite brands and then.. My thought got paused when I turned to the dance floor again. The faces of Eden and Tristan were getting close. With anticipation, I seethed in anger. Before I could think much, pushing off the girl who was clinging to me, I had ascended the stairs and
Eden was so sure that Cassandra was never going to agree to this job. But for once she thought of trying. Well aware her place was not a good option for this discussion nor the apartment where Brenda would be present. So, she had to behave so unlikely of her and call Cassandra out for a dinner. After waiting for almost half an hour, an ever so energetic Cassandra reached Eden and settled on the chair across from her. "Sorry, Edie. I got some work to finish. Anyways, what's the urgent matter? It was for the first time you know. It was always Brenda or me to get you to agree to an outing." Cassandra stopped as she read Eden's face, "What's the matter, Edie? Did anything happen?" "Nothing like that. I got a job for you." Eden said, trying to be all smiling. Cassandra knitted her brows in confusion, "For me?" "Yeah." Eden smiled as she asked her to be a part of the team being an announcer for a big project where she would earn a handsome amount. Everything was okay. Cassandra was just
As much as Eden tried to hide her teary eyes from Damien, he had already seen it clear. And a not so wanted feeling settled in his guts. Damien drove roughly all the way to his penthouse as the same thoughts crossed his mind. He shouldn't have asked her the question not at least when she had already answered the question in front of her parents. Not when she was still trying to meet his irrelevant demand. But he knew Hoult. If he had taken it this far to throw it open to him, he wasn't joking or something. And the way he had seen Eden approaching him, she would gladly accept him most probably. Eden never seemed to give a damn about him. So, there was no way she approached him being jealous of seeing him with a girl. He couldn't be the reason behind her behavior from that night. Did Eden just fall for Hoult at first sight? Did she? But he was also a billionaire playboy just like him. Then? Just like she said at their first meeting he was not good for her. Did she mean it then!!
"Okay, then you guys continue. I will take my leave." Julian spoke up when he got his presence was getting ignored. He also had some work but not at the office.Damien voiced out, "Okay." and Eden flashed him a small smile as he walked past them."Make me a coffee." Damien demanded, thinking it would be enough to drive the giddiness away that was seeming to be making way for him.He really needed his bed and a few hours of sleep now. But after knowing about Hoult trying his hand to impress Eden and waiting for chances, the idea of bed and sleep was out of his mind immediately.Making Eden unavailable was his only goal now and he saw it to be fruitful. He would keep her too busy to have time for going on dates with Hoult.Nodding at him, Eden made her way to the refreshment counter and made the coffee as per Damien's choice. She was so tempted to have one too but had to give up the urge. Last night wasn't as usual for her as well. She was never a girl to care what others thought about h
When the traffic light turned green and the cars from behind honked startling them, their staring moment came to an end. Eden pulled out her finger and freed her hand from his hold as well. As she covered the specific finger with her other hand, the heat spread all over her body. It wasn't supposed to go down this way. She wasn't supposed to feel like this. Not with Damien at least. She kept reminding her in mind over and over all the way to her. For Damien, he was getting frustrated with himself, not knowing why he was behaving that way. Both of them remained silent the rest of the drive, trying to get together their thoughts. After almost half an hour, they reached their destination and Damien pulled up the car by the entrance of her place. He gave her a side glance, "Get out." Not like Eden was expecting some good words from him before parting ways but as he took it into consideration to drop her home since it was late at night, he could as well behave not rude at the very lea
As Damien pulled Eden to him, she fell on his chest. She pulled away immediately though as she snapped at Damien, "What are you doing? Leave me." "That's what I should ask you actually. What are you doing?" Damien glared at her as he matched her tone. "What did I do?" Eden asked as she tried to wriggle out of his hold. "You are going out with Tristan, right? Isn't this what you said when you called him?" "How did you know I called him?" Eden asked him being more than just confused. "I was there with him then. Now say.." Damien glared at her as if challenging her to lie on his face again! "I called him to ask him to stop with his flowery things. That's all." Eden said looking straight into his eyes, frustrated with herself that she took it that far to care to explain her doing to Damien and then jerked away from his hold. Damien got her words registered in his mind but still kept holding onto them. Before he could voice out something, Eden spoke up, "Your father was looking forwa
