Chap_38. Not an Ethical Thing to Do

When Eden took another step toward him, Damien casually kept the ring on the desk as if it had nothing to do with her. His voice was as cold as ever when he voiced out, "You should have knocked."

"Sorry, Sir. I did a knock. But you didn't respond." Eden replied with a frown. What's the matter with him? Just now he was staring at the ring longingly that belonged to her a few days back. No, not belonged to. She had it on her finger just. Her mind reminded her.

"Then you should have waited." Damien said coldly and shoved the ring into the drawer. He turned to her again and said, "Anyways, you were saying something?"

"Yes, Sir. You have a meeting in half an hour."

"Okay. You go. Arrange it. I will be there." Damien was thinking of asking about her father but at last, he didn't. What's the point?
