I woke up this morning with a sad feeling all locked up in my chest today. Mum was at the hospital. The doctor told me she would be admitted there until it was time for her surgery. And, thinking of the events that happened yesterday, I felt so dumb.
It was all of a sudden Jackson’s face popped in my head. I saw his retreating figure on the roof top yesterday. My brain rebooted all that had happened just yesterday. I sprung up like a wild cat, running to the drawer. I opened it and sighted the white and pretty handkerchief he had told me to keep. Just at the sides of it was two initials I read out:
“J.J.” I furrowed my brows, wondering what they actually stood for. J was definitely for Jackson, but what did the other J stand for?
I thought, staring at the piece so adorably.
I placed the handkerchief in between my nasal openings. They scented exactly like Jackson which was pleasing and drawing to the senses.
I returned the napkin to the part o
After our girly chit-chat, Chloe started with her demonic gadgets on me. I couldn’t believe that she had brought all those all because I had a dinner with my worst enemy’s parents.“What the hell are those?” I asked her, furrowing my eyebrows.“An amateur's guide on a good makeover.” She said, with a wink, jingling the big bag in the air. Chloe brought the bag down and unzipped it.There were lots of makeup gadgets inside. Hair curlers, skin creams and various makeup items in there. She started by applying a mask on my face. That took some minutes to do. Next, she gave me a manicure and a pedicure. My body had to withhold her body creams too. She then pushed me into a tub of warm water, which she had also put some roses and body oils inside. My eye brows were arched most of the times, wondering why she performing the grand gesture. When I got out, she started with doing my hair. At least I had tested her curling machine before so I didn’t fre
“Excuse me?” I asked, arching my brows at what Liam’s dad had asked. I definitely didn’t expect him to ask me something so straight forward, reminding me of my actual background.“You heard me right. Your probably poor self has never eaten something like this, have you?” he uttered.“Dad.” Liam cautioned, giving him a stoic glare. For a second, I actually wondered why he was defending me. I hadn’t been good to him most of the times. Did he mean what he just said or this was all part of the act?“It’s ok, Lee.” I told Liam, still playing the girl friend role. My hands moved to his, pretending to sooth it to calm him down.“Tell us about your parent’s profession,” Lady Racheal, who was his mum asked. Sighting her merely, one could have no doubt that she was of high societal status from how she always posed. Neck, so elegant. Even her clothes were coated in diamonds which looked authentic.I could swear I had no idea of what to say. W
EleanorGo the magazine shop for magazines.Get tutorials on how to be a perfect model.Go visit mum.Theses were my schedules for today. I had woken up this morning only to recall what Jackson had told me last night— “If you weren’t Liam’s girl, I would have kissed you right now,”“Kissed you right now.”“Kissed you right now.”“Kissed you right now.”“Urrgh!!” I groaned out, so frustrated at what he said. What did he mean by that?Did that mean he had feelings?Or was I just imagining things out of the blue?I think I needed a
I averted my gaze to the fashion store’s door, looking at the person that had just called my celebrity name. I couldn’t believe my eyes.“Leah?” I called out. I knew she came to shop for something too.“Nikki!” she exclaimed, coming forward.“You came to get some stuffs too?” I asked her. I noticed her brightened expression dimmed once I told her that. She immediately covered it with a smile before looking at me calmly.“Actually, it’s for someone really important to me.” she said.“Oh, really. Who?” I asked, wanting to know what made her look worked up for a moment.“My sister.” She said.“That’s nice. I've never seen her before. Is she a model too?” I asked, arching a brow up.“She was. My sister is in the hospital. She got involved with an accident which kept her in a coma.” Leah surprisingly let out. My eyes widened at her review and my hands lifted to my mouth in a gasp.“I’m so sorry. I didn’t—”
Circumstances.A thirteen-letter word that held various meanings for certain people. For a little child, it could mean his candies being stolen. For a teenager, it could mean be embarrassed in front of his peers. But for me, it was being cuddled by someone I always loathed and reviled.Liam James.I couldn’t believe that I was in his arms. I wouldn’t have ever believed this scenario if someone had ever told me days back. Talk less of right now, when I was sick and helpless. I couldn’t deny I needed his help and he was doing it just fine. My mind was beginning to soften just from being in his hands. His body warmth held a welcoming feeling, making my body perfectly fit with his.My cold was being tamed by him, with his hands around my waist. Feeling his manhood on my cheeks brought an enticing sensation that bolted through my body. I froze at the spot, trying to ignore that fact because of my sickly situation. But when I couldn’t convince
Liam’s Pov “Tell me about it,” I ordered Solomon, my personal assistant, inside the walls of my office. Over the past couple of months, Pink Moda has been working on a project to merge with companies so we’ll go international worldwide. I personally gave Solomon the task to investigate the shareholders of the company we planned to merge up with, “Blue Spirit.”“Here is what I found. The figure with a very large percent is man with a very high societal prestige. No one dares to cross his part or even mess with him, sir. In fact, people believe he is involved in an underground illegal business.” He said.“This is his picture.” Solomon added, giving me a copy of what the supposed shareholder looked like. I curved my lips in a tight smile, staring at the piece carefully.“Is that all for now?” I asked him.“Yes, sir.” He responded.“You’re dismissed,”
Some situations just suddenly appeared in front of you, making you wonder how in the world you never noticed. That was exactly what was happening to me.It was insane.Very insane. The fact that I never took notice that he was Liam James’ brother was crazy. For a moment, I looked at him so surprised. Though, I knew I had to make the right confirmations.“Like real brother? Or friendship brother?” I asked him wriggling my brows at his declaration. I didn’t just want to believe that someone with his personality shared a bloodline with the almighty Liam James.Jackson laughed at my statement. His bruised face was what even made him appear adorable at the moment. “I believe you don’t see that possible in any way, sugar plum?” he asked. With my hands at the end of my jaw in wonder, I nodded my head at his question.“Then I will have to explain myself more. Liam is my step-bro. My mum married his dad years back. Since then, we've had a hard t
Surprise. That was the exact feeling that ran through my body right now. I couldn’t believe that Chloe would actually show up at my place without telling me. Thus, everything felt unreal. The moment I noticed her crying, I dropped my bag on the floor. Walking to her in total amazement, I sat beside her.“C-Chloe? Are you ok? You didn’t tell me you were coming over. I could have come home earlier if you did.” I stated, asking her. She had a pillow in between her legs. Her under eyes were stained with mascara making them look dark. She spared me a glance and I watched as tears dripped down.“Why are you crying?” With a hand on one of her shoulders, I asked.“He…” she trailed out, before gulping. She didn’t even complete the sentence.“He what? Is it Matt?” I asked her, in reference to her boyfriend. I always had a bad vibe around her boyfriend but had to pretend to be nice to see her happy. I saw her nod her head as I asked if it was Matt.
