31. Feelings

Ranulf's POV

I was avoiding Rain like a plague and storm out of my chamber letting Durwin and Maven took care of him. My heart was torn knowing that my enemies had found out about him. That I have put him in danger. This was not what I wanted for him, for us.

Cassius, my once loyal general who decided to start his own legion of demons found out about us. He knew that my lover was my downfall, my weakness. He knew that I was cast down from heaven for the exact same reason, my mate. He realized that it would be easier and faster just to abduct Rain, rather than luring him romantically.
