“Hey, arson girl,” Penny answered my video call. My nose scrunched hearing that word. Anything related to fire sends cold shivers through my bones, since I almost burned down the entire penthouse two days ago.
Of course, she wouldn’t miss the chance to make fun of my misery. I pouted, stuffing my mouth with chocolate ice cream. I’m sitting by the reading nook in our bedroom, knees tucked close to my chest. This reading nook is the only place in this penthouse where I can move things freely. It’s my space because Xavier has all his books in the library or his home office.
