Chap-69*Only 10 Days*

Having dinner with family didn’t seem like a good idea any time now. I was done pretending like everything was fine.

I did my dinner in my room and then lied down to rest. The night was going to be heavy for me. I knew because I had to wake up fresh and meet Reynard, answer his burning questions.

I was only able to doze off for a few minutes before a hard knock on my bedroom door woke me up. I was still sleeping in Arlene’s room to avoid Daxon and also be closer to her memories.

"Who could it be at this time?" I frowned, getting up from the bed and wearing a pink silk robe over my pink nighty.

As I answered the door and watched Daxon stand there for me, I realized I should have pretended to be asleep.

"Daxon!" I mumbled, stepping aside when he invited himself into the room.

"I guess I woke you up," he stated, while rubbing his hands together.
