Chapter 14

Camilla's POV

It's been exactly two months since my mom got married and two weeks since the last time I saw Andrew. Except for the times I hear him leaving his room or coming back from God knows where.

I have heard him knocking on my door sometimes but I don't bother opening because I do not want to talk to him. The first time he came knocking, he said he wanted to apologize for what his girlfriend did but I don't care about him nor her so they can both go to hell.

His friend came one certain time and I could hear them from my room talking about the women he has dated and all that.

I always make sure I do everything I need to do downstairs before he gets back or sees me and if he is at home I don't go downstairs.

I remember one evening. Five days into my self isolation, my stepdad came knocking. When I opened the door, he was holding a plate of food. My stomach rumbles at the sight of it and my mouth watered.
