Chapter 13

Bert who was chewing the food in his mouth immediately turned around and stopped chewing, he was quite surprised to find a man who was pointing a gun at him. He put down the spoon he was originally holding, then quickly swallowed the food that was still left in his mouth.

Then, he raised his hands above his head and asked the man to calm down.

“Sorry, I entered your house without your permission. I've tried knocking on your door several times, but there's no answer from inside. But, when I tried to push the doorknob of your house down, it turned out that your door was unlocked and I entered your house. The sweet smell of this apple pie led me into the kitchen. If you don't mind, may I take shelter here temporarily while treating my wound?" Bert replied trying to convince the old man.
