Frederick's grip was firm and instead of getting off quickly, Kristen found herself leaning comfortably on Frederick's arm. She sniffed his cologne and inhaled deeply, the smell of expensive soap filled her nostrils. His warm arms wrapped themselves around her waist tightly, preventing her from falling to the ground. She raised her head and looked up and found his blue eyes staring directly into hers, a few inches apart, his dark brown curls covering most of his face. When their gazes clashed, neither moved to look away. They stared intently at each other, trying to communicate with their eyes. Kristen knew there was a connection between them but she can't define what kind of connection it is. Both stayed like that until Gabby's voice broke the silence,

"Kristen? Are you alright?"

Kristen jumped off Frederick's embrace and realized she was leaning on him for too long. She looked away embarrassedly but when she felt someone touch her hand, she froze. Frederick's warm hand was touching
