Later that evening,

I adjusted Tehilla in my hands, I raised my hands and clicked on the doorbell excitedly, I heard him yell “who is that” from inside and in few seconds I heard him turn the bolt, he bolted the door open and his eyes suddenly went wide, as my smile widened, I told him that I was going to let him know once I was on my way but I didn’t , he stretched his hands and took Tehilla from me immediately.

I picked our compact duffel bag on the floor and we all walked in, and I gently closed the door behind us.

“Dada,” she called, obviously happy to see her father, his grip around her thightened as he hugged her deeply, it’s been four days and I know he missed her terribly,

“I missed you,” he muttered as he placed a small kiss on her forehead, and she nodded slowly with a smile,

“Why didn’t you come home, Dada” she asked using her hands to dust only what God knows on his face, she smiled as he tugged at her cheeks playfully,

“Don’t worry, Dada would come home soon,”
