I walked out of the ward, seething inwardly. I exhaled and started to walk down the hall when I saw that Enzo had left. It was actually good for both of us because I was not planning on taking another glance at him after acting like I was the third wheel, in my own marriage.

As I took a turn heading for the hall that burst into the main entrance, my eyes fell on Enzo. Talk about the devil.

Enzo was specialized at ruining my day, my life to be specific, he had started again today but I had too many things to work out, today was not going to be that day.

Keeping my eyes straight ahead, I walked past him, only to stop a few feet away when he uttered something.

“Friends? It’s going to be more than that soon”

I stopped in my tracks, my fists folded as I turned to face him. He pushed off from the wall and casually strode until we were a few foot away. His lips curved into a smirk, his eyes gleaming with mockery.

“Let’s see…” he trailed off, a brow raised.

“How about a bet?”
