Chapter 18- Employees' Meeting

Royce Miller's POV

After I dropped Vera off at their house, I took a taxi and went straight home. No choice, my car's tire was flat so I was forced to commute. I think I'll just let Arthur fix it because I have office work tomorrow at META and I'll go back to being Reid. I looked at my watch and it was almost ten in the evening.

As soon as I entered the sala, I saw dad and mom sitting on the sofa bed and I guessed they are waiting for me to come home. Maybe they have something very important to discuss with me. Dad sat on a four-leg clamp while mom was crossing her arms. I thought they were already asleep since they usually go to bed at eight. I approached them and kissed mom's cheek afterwards, I sat on the couch opposite them. The whole place was quiet so I'm sure the housemaids were already at their quarter and it's safe to talk about private matters.

"Son, it's okay if you go out, but we were just worried because someone might find out the truth. So we need to be careful son.",
