Chapter 44

Since I was anticipating for him to reciprocate the feelings towards me, his words completely took me off-guard. Tears started to well in my eyes,

“Why can’t you tell that to me in simple words?”

He gave me a small smile and pulled himself off the mattress to hover on top of me. Leaning down slightly, he planted a kiss on my forehead and continued to trail it down my nose. He reached my ear lobe and kissed me beneath it, before pulling away to look me in the eyes.

His lips were inches away from mine when he muttered, "Skylar, I love you." He said, and claimed my mouth with his, "I'm so in love with you, Skylar, and I'm beginning to realize that I could never stop loving you. Even when I hated you, I loved you. I knew there wasn't going to be anybody else for because they're never going to be you."

Tears streamed out of my eyes at his declaration and he was quick to kiss them away, and then he kissed both of my eyes. "I love you." He said.

Every time he said that he pecked me on my lip
