Kessler and I were heading to the kitchen when we heard the crash of the door. We ran to the living room and Lucas was already gone.

“He went to the forest,” Kessler said with urgency in his voice. “He wants to transform and he shouldn’t be alone, he could make a mess.”

“What? I’m going with you,” I said, determined not to let Lucas face this alone.

“No, stay, it’s dangerous,” Kessler insisted before running toward the forest. But I wasn’t going to sit idly by. I followed them without hesitation.

The cold night air hit my face as I ran toward the forest, following Kessler. The rain had made the ground slippery, and the wet branches made the path difficult, but I couldn’t stop. I knew Lucas needed our help.

In the distance, I glimpsed Kessler’s figure moving through the trees with supernatural agility. The full moon shone brightly, illuminating our path and casting long, mysterious shadows. My heart pounded with adrenaline and fear of the unknown.
