The next morning, Amanda woke up with a slight headache. She had no idea why this was happening when she was perfectly alright the previous day. Her head seemed like it was carrying a hundred pound brick as it pounded with a vegeance she couldn't quite understand."What's happening?" Amanda mummured.Something like this hadn't happened to her before, this was all a strange sensation she couldn't quite understand. She sat up, cradling her head in her palms, wishing that the pain could just disappear. It was a discomfort she didn't like at all. A few minutes later, her mother walked in and upon seeing her daughter this way, she knew that there was something wrong."Amanda honey, what's the matter?" Charlotte asked. She sat beside her on the bed, feeling her temperature and she discovered that it was burning hot. Amanda wasn't one to fall sick easily and Charlotte knew that this was odd."Do you feel dizzy?" She asked.Thinking about it now, Amanda realized that she was feeling dizzy too
Later that day, Amanda was left alone in the house. Her mother had to attend an important meeting with some of the chair boards back at her office. She didn't want to leave her all alone at home but Amanda pushed her to go because it was her job and she didn't want to be the reason why she couldn't allow her mother to miss the meeting."I'll be fine Mom." Amanda smiled."Are you sure honey?" Charlotte stressed."Seriously Mom. I'll be fine, I'm getting better now. Thanks to the drugs I used." Amanda smiled. After much persuasion, her mother left. Her parents weren't due to arrive till late at night so she had the house to herself. In order to relax, she binged watched her favorite t.v programs with a big tub of ice cream and salted potato chips beside her. This was her favorite thing to eat and Amanda paid no expense in filling her plate up with her favorite snacks. Later on, her phone gave a loud beep, indicating she had a call.Glancing at the caller ID, she discovered it was Emily
"I understand if you don't want to talk to me ever again consider what I did but Amanda, I need you say something. Your silence is killing me." Parker said. For several minutes, Amanda remained quiet as she tried to sort out her thoughts based on what Parker had said. She was in between being cross with him and thanking him for looking out for her. "One part of me wants to hit you while the other part of me wants to kiss you senseless." Amanda said. "Then we should go with the latter part don't you think?" He smiled. Amanda gave him a pointed look before her face gave way to a beautiful smile. Parker gave a huge sigh of relief, glad that she didn't take offence. He didn't know what he'll have done if Amanda decided to be cross with him. "Thank you." He smiled. "That doesn't mean you're in the clear now. I'm still a teensy wee bit angry with you for doing that to me without my consent." Amanda sighed. She sat on his lap, resting her head on his chest. She was just glad he was her
ParkerI knew I just had to tell Amanda everything I did today. I knew that if she was in my shoes, she would probably come clean to me. But yet, I was having a hard time telling her what I did. I didn't know how she was going to take it which left me worried."Parker, what's going on?" She asked.I didn't even know how to begin and with her staring at me, it just didn't feel right to lie to her. If there was one thing Amanda deserved, it was transparency."I really don't know how you're going to feel when I tell you what I've been up to today." I said."Just say it how it is darling, I'm all ears." She smiled.I took a deep breath, it was now or never. The only way I could come clean with her was by just telling her the whole truth and nothing but that truth."Remember the guy that swindled my Dad back in london?" I beganA look of comprehension dawned on her face but I could still see some hint of confusion there. The whole story wasn't really clear to her yet which was something I
Her parents came back home late that night. Amanda had just gotten back home and not quite long did her mother come in. She couldn't deny the fact that she had enjoyed every moment with Parker. He made her feel loved, wanted and accepted.Sometimes, she wondered what she did to deserve all of the love Parker showered on her. As Amanda thought about it, she couldn't quite believe that Parker had once bullied her before. it just seemed odd as she thought about it. Someone she hated in the past was now the same person who made sure she was loved and felt loved in return. It was a heady feeling, one that she always wanted to feel."What's that smile on your face?" Her mother asked."Well Mom, it's my boyfriend." Amanda giggled.Ever since she had told her mother about Parker, she had felt this peace within her. She felt like she could do anything because now, she had the acceptance of her mother. Her father hadn't talked to her about it but she was sure that her mother had informed him ab
"Mom, what day would you and dad be traveling?" Amanda asked one fine morning.Charlotte who was kneading some pastry to make some pie stopped what she was doing to stare at her daughter. She vividly remembered telling her that they would leave next week but yet, she still asked her which she found odd."Next week love." Charlotte smiled. It was a Saturday, so there was no school. Since Charlotte had a break from work, she decided to get her hands dirty on some pastry work and since pie was the first thing that came to her mind, she decided to make that."Okay." Amanda simply said.Charlotte stared at her daughter with a look of confusion on her face as she tried to understand why her daughter had asked that question."Why did you ask love? Is there something wrong?" Charlotte asked."Oh nothing Mom, I just wanted to know." Amanda said, vaguely."Okay." Charlotte chuckled. They sat in comfortable silence for a while, each with their own thoughts. Amanda's was on how she would miss her
Parker's Dream RealmDylan was too stunned to speak. he was transfixed to the spot and didn't move until Parker puhed him.Perhaps the fog was making him hallucinate. he felt dazed because everything was happening too fast."Dylan."The voice carried him like a wave on the sea of memories. Hearing that voice again was too good to be true. Yes, he had hoped because that was the only thing that gave him a reason to live recently. "Eric?" he whispered."What are you doing out with him," he threw Parker a dirty look, "this boy time.""I'm a hunter," Parker said in a voice that tried too hard to sound deep.Eric glowered at him.Dylan ran into Eric and embraced him."Eric, I knew I'd find you," he laughed and cried at the same time. " I knew you were still alive. I could feel it in my soul."He touched his hair and face. When he tried to hug him again, he stepped back a bit. "Is everything okay? Aren't you happy to see me?""Of course I am. I've got a dagger somewhime and wouldn't want i
Tired and worn out due to the activities she had engaged in that week, Amanda retired to bed later that evening for her evening nap. She hadn’t been so tired like she was now. It just seemed like she was carrying a hundred ton brick on her body which left her feeling weak. Her parents had decided through strict instructions that she stay with Parker and his family for the time being until they traveled. They realized it wouldn't be safe at their home because anything could happen. With Alessandro and the men planning a retaliation attack, there was no telling what would happen.Having a nap was the best thing to do and she wasted no time getting into bed. Soon, she was out like a light. Two hours later, Amanda was jerked awake by some noise coming from downstairs. She groaned, rolling on the bed to catch some more sleep but that proved to be a difficult thing to do because the noise was getting more intense. No matter how much she tried to resist the noise, it was a steady reminder t
