I hear Maliyah through the mind link, but it’s faint as if she is severely weakened. I scan the field in the direction I saw her last and see Alastor throw Maliyah over her shoulder without her fighting back. I shift and give Akira full control to sprint towards her, shifting back into my human form just as I approach Alastor.
“I had Dimitri spell this field so no one can teleport in or out. Put my daughter down,” I growl out.
Kat arrives at my side and shifts into her human form.
“You will pay for taking my mate from me,” Kat growls.
I thought the loss of her mate would severely weaken her but she seems stronger and determined than ever before. I truly would not want to be the one to cause her wrath.
