Chapter 33

Frank felt like the whole world was collapsing on him. The seat he was sitting on felt hot as he tried to adjust it but it only became more unbearable forcing him to get up.

"What exactly are you saying?" He asked.

"My son can't donate anything; the cancer is all over his body," the old man explained. "It has spread everywhere.

Ireen dropped to her knees, trying to understand what wrong she or her son had done. It was unfair to her and her children. She never wronged anyone, but yet their lives were full of misery.

"I am so sorry, Ireen," the old man added.

Frank paced the room as he tried to control his emotions, urging his mother to get up too; they needed to find other solutions. Crying was not going to solve anything.

They thanked the old man, who wished them good luck.

Outside, Frank held his mother's hand. "Do not worry; I will find a way," he assured her.

"What other way is there? Do you mean finding another rich woman and exposing yourself to more diseases?" She asked.
