Chapter 90

Two days passed, with Marcus's attention focused on finding the lawyer. The private investigator was in the country and got on the case but could not find the mysterious ghost lawyer.

Marcus did not give him much information, so it was like he was chasing a ghost. He had visited most of the city's law firms to try and get surveillance on their clients, but some firms refused, while those that accepted the bribe had hours and days of footage and files that were impossible to finish up, especially since his boss asked for the results within a day.

There was also a possibility that the lawyer was not from the city or even the state or the country. His new task was like looking for a specific fish in the middle of the ocean.

Marcus was hit with a roadblock; it was easy to kill Frank and his family off, and he would have done it the second he stepped foot in the house, but without the identity of the lawyer, it was hopeless and he had no idea where the expose would come from.
