I couldn’t believe that Jess was Ethan’s brother, and more to the fact that she had tried to find me after all these years. When she walked in the door to say it surprised me was an understatement. Athena was whining in my head again. He was at it again.

“Why can’t we just reject him?”

“We have to wait.” Athena whimpered. I was so angry. How did this all happen? Why the fuck did all this happen? If Jacob hadn’t of done this, I know everything would be different. But it was too late for that now. They would die, all of them. Garrett was mine, though. No one was going to touch him. He would feel all sorts of pain. How could we have so wrongly judged him? He was so caring when we met him and I was drawn to him more than Ethan, but why? Jess walked back inside, pulling me from my thoughts.

“King Darius will meet us there. Now I am going to go and patrol the area to make sure that we will be safe tomorrow.” She looked at me with concern on her face.

“Wanna come for a run, Jos? Let
