Chapter 21 Mind link for The First Time

Theo POV

Plans for mating with Damelza are shattered when suddenly there is news that security at the center of the Black Lotus headquarters, located underground at Wind Pack, was attacked by a herd of unknown werewolves. I had to leave Damelza alone in the mansion with the guards, who were always on guard in her pavilion.

“Come back safely.” Damelza tidied up the bulletproof vest attached to my body. Her gaze was not as bright as last time, and her shoulders dropped limp.

“Sure.” I cupped her face and kissed her eyes lovingly.

Damelza held my hand that was on her face and stroked it gently. Her lips opened as if she wanted to say something, but she didn't.

“Say,” I told her.

She took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. Her bright-green eyes stared at me intensely. “Let me come with you.”

I was surprised to hear her request. “No,” I refused because I didn't want her in big trouble.

Damelza jerked my hand that was on her face. She turned her back on me while making a loud screechi
