Chapter 50 He's the First Man

Alpha's arrival here brings us good luck. I don't know what his name is, but members of his organization call him Theo. A suitable name for his handsome and kindhearted figure.

I thought all Alphas were spooky, but he's different. He wants to be close to me and even respond to my words. My body always overreacts when he touches my skin.

Theo stays in one of the biggest shelters, even though he is familiar with many people. Meanwhile, I could only stare at him from afar. I feel small and unworthy to continue to be beside him. He seemed to like children; he could even calm a crying baby.

The shelter house is made of stacked forest wood, and the roof is made of woven coconut leaves and rice stalks. I stepped into my house, which is located at the very end and is the smallest. There's nothing special about my house—only a small mattress and a blanket from Theo. There is no furniture because I can't afford anything. I can eat twice a day; I'm delighted.
