Chapter sixty

Ariadne

I walked out of the room and slowly traced the stairs while holding the rim.

It was hard. So fucking hard. The decision. I watched through the window and saw the evening approach. The sun slowly fades into the sky. It was almost time and tonight was going to be a long night. The whole pack was now slowly drifting to the woods.

"Ariadne thank God you're here." Hannah rushed towards me. She has very sharp eyes and I knew she realized how pale I have grown in just a day.

"Hannah, you should go to the others I need to eat first." I lied.

"Great, I was suggesting that. Don't tell me you haven't eaten anything since daybreak. What about the food I kept at the diner? You didn't even take a bite, did you? It took me a whole lot of effort to prepare for it."

"I will meet you on the field," I said calmly and walked through the steps.

She wanted to scream after me. But held herself. I knew she had already heard the gossip. And for some reason was holding herself back from letting me know.
